Antonio O Duibhir (Splendid Lofi) Who Know's E.P Release Party at D.I.B.H at Turks Head

Deep Into The Bowels Of House are growing strength by strength. We are happy to announce our weekly Friday residency now with the Turks Head is starting this May 14th. So that's another thing for you and us to look forward to with the addition of three new residents Bradley, Niall Dunne and Ian MacQ who have already been big local players for some time now we hope you'll take to them as we have..

And to celebrate even more DIBOH has its own up and coming star also with Antonio O Duibhir recently releasing an ep for the Barcelona Label Splendid Lo-Fi so we are kicking off with a big party for him :) This ep has got some great feedback from some high profile Djs and producers alike.
Splendid Lo-Fi, a new label from Barcelona opened it’s catalogue in November 2009. It has been collecting and will harbor different selections of House, from Deep- to Tech, always groovy, less functional but musical. We work with a small selection of international artists and capture a fresh House sound. The label wants to be driven by the music of it’s artists not vice versa that means the artist will have his freedom within the definition of the varieties of House.
Listen here what's coming from Ireland straight to Barcelona.

Antonio O Duibhir from Dublin has created a fresh release for music lovers and not only for the club but the coast and sea and sunrise afterhours on the beach as we well.
Spring's coming up soon and we want to be prepared. With this various release full of fresh and jazzy beats, meandering basslines, beautiful organic melodies and percussions and a nice selection of voices and even ethnic sounds we want to spread out, not only to the dark club-night but also to the shiny day-places after having a night full of emotions...

Trus'me

Next Up in the solid D.I.B.H lineups we have a Mancurian who goes by the curious name of Trus'me! Distinguished by his Disco edits and cuts this guy provides a funky atmosphere where ever he spins.

In the winter of 2006, on a whim, David James Wolstencroft, aka TRUSME, sent some of his work to various labels around the globe. It paid off. The now legendary CD sampler “Nards” led to the immediate release for TRUSME on the Still label, sparking the beginning of a promising musical career for one very talented individual.

TRUSME’s musical roots trace way back to an early age where he dabbled with various instruments. He began studying production, but soon developed a love of vinyl culture, which shifted his focus towards the art of mixing and digging for unique samples.

Surrounded by the heads of Manchester and its deep routed scene his musical taste has continued to evolve, resulting in eclectic DJ sets where his passion exudes. Naturally, this diversity shines through in his production: “Like bookends, some 12”s will work with both the beginning and the end of the night, such is the classy sampling from TRUSME.” Peter Nicholson XLR8R Review March 2007.

TRUSME’s debut release on Chicago’s Still Music label was quickly follow by two more, all blowing up on both sides of the pond and accelerating the buzz on this new artist. His production is constantly compared to Moodymann and our such Detroit luminaries with releases usually snatching ‘Record of the week’ in hosts of global outlets from Piccadilly Records - Manchester to Jazzy Sport – Japan. He’s also getting love from all the right supporters, Ashley Beedle, Rob da Bank, Mad Matts, Kenny Dixon Jr, Amp Fiddler, Chris Duckenfield, Rob Luis….and the list keeps growing. His debut was first championed by Gilles Peterson on BBC radio 1: “If there was ever a house record made for me, it would sound like this.”

Dec 2007 sees the release of his first album. Entitled “Working Nights”, this captures some of the previous singles along with a host of future classics which re-enforce the Trusme sound.“it's difficult to name highlights when every track is so good” seems to be a common reaction from a growing global fan-base. One thing’s for sure it is a timeless debut that’s sure to last. “i am actually blown away from the flow, production and music…my kinda housemusic for sure. 100% soulful” Michael Rutten - Compost

In less than a year Trusme has established himself as a serious and prolific producer with a huge career in front of him. 2008 will see the launch of his own label imprint “Prime Numbers” an outlet for him and other great artists that fit the ethos Trusme is about. He has lots of projects under way for Defected, Tru Thoughts, Eskimo and the second album is already rolling with some exciting guests involved….It’s time to catch a rising star in the making!

Ian Macq

Finally to add to the super team we have Ian Macq.

Highly regarded as a true house Dj. Ian is well tuned into whats hot in the house scene and has to be for his involvement with Dublins prolific underground radio station PlayFm.

Ian has no trouble in getting the dancefloor moving playing the best deep house with an acute track selection so that his sets never fail!

Playing some of the best clubs in Dublin Ian has put his stamp on the clubbing community for some time now.

Another gem added we look forward to grooving with Ians sets

Bradley

Bradley one of the other three to join our new breed of Djs at D.I.B.H!

Beautifully deep! A phrase that comes to mind while listening to a set by this relatively new kid on the block. Bradley is a self admitted perfectionist and lives up to his own brand. Delving mostly into the deeper side of house there are also elements of dubby techno that will find itself creeping into his sets.

Never depending on charts or the hearsay of popular media sites etc. Bradleys unique is his track selection and definitely comes out on top each time!

We are thrilled to have this man on board and look forward to his whopper sets in future!!

Niall Dunne

Niall Dunne joins the team with his beautiful style of deep techy-house.

Without a doubt a major player in the Dublin scene Niall has played with some of the hottest acts both nationally and internationally. His most notorious appearance was undoubtedly his set in Dance Valley in Amsterdam, by winning a Mix Mag competition. That day Niall played along side the notorious Kevin Saunderson, Derrik May and Cris Liebing and many more big shots

Taking steps into the studio as one half of the successful ''8 minutes'' who are due to release an E.P in the coming months.

Deciding to go solo now prospects look good for this young 24 year old Dj and Producer. We at D.I.B.H are thrilled Nial has jumped on board and we're sure this rogue will make an instant impression on all our club revelers!

Keep an eye on the blog for mixes from Niall which will be sure to have you nut rolling in seconds

Boris Werner

Boris Werner is one of the most talented and wanted DJ's in Amsterdam scene. Famous for his enthusiasm behind the decks, his style varies from minimal sounds to more uplifting house and techno. When Boris started producing his own sounds four years ago, it became clear that this was one of his talents.

Boris released his first track Matchmaker / Legeres in 2007, together with his friend and musical partner in crime Lauhaus. After its massive success, they released a second track called Revenge Of The Nerds (2008). These two successful releases drew a great deal of attention to Boris as a producer, and soon he was asked to make a remix of Keep On/Matthias Tanzmann. The remix was already highly supported by: Onur Özur, Mathias Kaden, 2000 and One, Tobi Neumann, Anja Schneider, Raresh and many more.

In the mean time Boris was busy producing his No Day Like Monday (2x12), which was released in august 2008 and immediately sold out. It became very popular with artists like: Raresh, Karotte, Kabale und Liebe, Kiko, Magda, Kiki, Djulz, Dave Ellesmere, Dan Curtin and more.

Besides being a DJ he’s also a member of the laptop collaboration “Amsterdam 661 Live. They played on festivals like Welcome to the Future and 5 days Off and the infamous Panoramabar in Berlin.

He also made the TV Jingle for Ster & Cultuur together with the visuals of Rick Nijhout, who is a part of the VJ collective S_loop.

Boris is a skillful producer and an amazing DJ. Born with an instinctive funkiness, he has the ability to move any crowd. With international bookings taking him across the border (München, Berlin, Rome, Sofia, London, Barcelona and many more) the future is looking bright.
